IS EPIC Security Analyst 1 - EPIC Build

The EPIC Security Analyst 1 is primarily accountable to configure and provide basic functional and technical help for the specific application or set of applications to a variety of business and clinical users. In addition, part of the responsibility is to join with end users to know about the workflow and its interdependencies and make corrective adjustments or enhancements. This role is the central point of communication for a variety of users and will coordinate all activities on behalf of the IS organization.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE**

+ Assists with the test recommendations for corrective actions and resolution of problems within the software application.

+ Creates and executes test scripts for new system builds timely and effectively.

+ Provides testing and documentation of workflows, data collections, end-user report details and other technical issues associated with applications, applying both vendor and internal stakeholder consideration.

+ Creates, modifies and tracks system build timely and effectively.

+ Provides help for normal maintenance of upgrades and system maintenance.

+ Implements system updates and changes, and communicates those changes to super users and end users.

+ Provides ongoing application help and end user training for all helped applications.

+ Engages, manages, and communicates to all stakeholders.

+ Solves problems by studying business issues and requirements, studying workflows and synthesizing key messages.

+ Assists in the coordination of training materials and schedules for all super users and end users, and serves as liaison between end users, subject matter experts and vendor implementation team.

**KEY SUCCESS FACTORS**

+ Basic understanding of end user workflows, with a focus on learning the inputs and outputs from a user and patient perspective.

+ Ability to work well in team environments and facilitate integrated meetings.

+ Comfortable using basic word processing, spreadsheets, and email software for everyday tasks.

+ Demonstrates customer-oriented service excellence methods.

+ Self-motivated with ability to identify and resolve issues, and advance personal knowledge.

+ Ability to carry out tasks efficiently with a focus on organization and attention to detail.

+ Demonstrates excellent face-to-face communication skills, among facility customers and team members.

+ A motivated, quick learner of software and information technology.

+ Proficient in accurate, thorough and complete documentation.

+ Basic knowledge of Epic systems to support, assist, and learn during training sessions.

+ Must be EPIC certified.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

+ EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification

+ Epic Certification (EPICCERT) required

+ EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
