**Summary**
The Packaging EPM Manager is responsible for leading, mentoring, and growing a diverse team of program managers who orchestrate the "unboxing" experience for our customers. This role leverages a strong technical background to provide strategic guidance on development activities, build execution, and risk management. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine deep technical expertise in packaging technologies with organizational leadership and executive exposure.
**Description**
Lead the Packaging Engineering Program Management team, overseeing the planning and execution of a portfolio of packaging projects from concept to mass production. You will be responsible for the team structure, hiring, and career development of individual EPMs. You will serve as the primary escalation point for the program with cross-functional leadership in Operations, Industrial Design, Product Design, and Marketing. You will drive the team to set clear objectives, manage complex build matrices, and ensure the timely completion of high-quality packaging solutions. You will champion process improvements to streamline development cycles and facilitate feedback through internal design review processes.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ BS in Engineering
+ 8+ years of relevant industry experience, with specific experience in packaging or mechanical product design
+ 3+ years of direct people management experience (leading teams of PMs or Engineers)
+ Proven track record of managing complex hardware development cycles
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience scaling teams and managing resources in a high-volume consumer electronics environment
+ Detailed knowledge of global manufacturing processes
+ Ability to filter and distill complex technical information for an executive audience
+ Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills
+ Highly disciplined in workflow, process, and staying organized on priority tasks
+ Superior attention to detail with a strong commitment to rigor and excellence
+ Demonstrated ability to remain flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty and rapid change
+ Previous work or exposure to environmental initiatives and sustainability policies
+ Masters in Engineering or MBA is a plus
