Linux Engineer

**Job Description**

This position is for an experienced Linux Engineer to support the technical solutions task order for the Executive Office for the U.S. Attorneys (EOUSA) for our customer, the U.S. Attorneys' Office (USAO).

The Linux Engineer shall perform the following tasks:

+ Architect, deploy, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred) across onpremise and cloud environments.

+ Implement secure baseline configurations aligned with DOJ, NIST, and federal cybersecurity standards.

+ Manage OS patching, kernel dependences, and system performance tuning.

+ Support enterprise application hosting, web services, databases, and middleware running on Linux platforms.

+ Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or similar tools.

+ Implement Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar.

+ Assist with migration, deployment, and administration of Linuxworkloads in cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government).

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ 810 years of Linux engineering experience in enterprise or federal environments.

+ Advanced experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9).

+ Strong proficiency with Bash scripting and at least one modern scripting or programming language (Python preferred).

+ Hands-on experience with Ansible and Infrastructure-as-Code.

+ Knowledge of virtualization (VMware), containers, and cloud computing.

+ Experience supporting security compliance under federal frameworks (FISMA, NIST 80053, STIGs).

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ System health and performance reports.

+ Security compliance documentation, patching summaries, and vulnerability remediation status.

+ Updated architecture diagrams and configuration baselines.

+ Automation scripts, IaC modules, and associated documentation.

+ Migration plans, change management packages, and incident reports.

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
