As a **Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver** in **Colorado Springs, CO** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This role also requires driving responsibilities while conducting routine patrols and engaging with visitors and staff. **What You'll Do:**

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations at the government location in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents and provide assistance to employees, visitors, and authorized personnel.

+ Observe and report any irregularities or incidents following protocols established by Allied Universal and the location.

+ Operate and handle assigned firearms and equipment responsibly in accordance with training and company policy.

+ Complete required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Applicants must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.

+ An armed guard card or license is required.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Handcuffing certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
