**Position Type: Part Time**

**Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour**

**What You'll Do:**

+ Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response protocols at a government location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, restricted areas, and perimeter zones to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and movement within the location, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report suspicious behavior, contraband concerns, and other security-related issues through proper channels.

+ Support order within a controlled environment by following post orders, maintaining awareness of changing conditions, and coordinating with site personnel and/or public sector representatives when appropriate.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ An armed guard card or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
