**Pay Range:** $41.44 - $67.44 per hour

**Summary:**
Responsible for all aspects of Physical Therapy (PT) service delivery including evaluation, intervention planning, implementation, and reviewing outcome evaluation. Actively involved in educational opportunities. Manages daily clinical operations in collaboration with manager. Demonstrates clinical excellence in area of responsibility. Acts as a leader in department activities including program development, staff training and advocacy in and outside of Rush. The Physical Therapist is an active participant in the interdisciplinary team. The PT meets the requirements of all internal and external regulatory bodies. The supervisor exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values of care and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Graduate of CAPTE accredited physical therapy program.
2. Active Illinois State License for Physical Therapist
3. Meets all state regulatory requirements
4. Basic computer skills
5. At least 5 years of experience as a physical therapist
6. Team oriented with commitment to diversity and inclusion with patients and coworkers

**Responsibilities:**
1. Directs the evaluation process including determining the need for services, defines problems within the domain of PT, determines goals, and establishes treatment priorities.
2. Develops and implements the intervention plan in collaboration with all team members.
3. Selects, implements, and makes modifications to therapeutic activities and interventions that are consistent with patient goals and their social cultural context.
4. Demonstrates competency in providing evaluation and treatment in at least one non-primary section of the Physical Therapy Department.
5. Maintains departmental productivity standards.
6. Demonstrates ability to safely lift and/or move therapy equipment.
7. Demonstrates safety in performing all patient functional mobility using correct body mechanics, supportive lifting equipment, and/or use of support personnel.
8. Demonstrates the ICARE values with patients, colleagues, and interdisciplinary team members.
9. Adheres to policies and procedures.
10. Maintains accurate and timely patient record.
11. Identifies and develops continuous quality improvement processes needed in collaboration with manager.
12. Provides proof of completed documents related to health and education requirements
13. Identifies and pursues own professional growth and development.
14. Takes leadership role in embracing change.
15. Identifies problems as they arise and seeks to problem solve solutions independently.
16. Balance and prioritize patient care treatment with supervisor responsibilities.
17. Demonstrates awareness of others who need assistance and is proactive about giving assistance.
18. Trains and orients staff, students and volunteers as delegated
19. Assists with selection and retention of staff
20. Coordinates scheduling of work assignments
21. Coordinates patient scheduling
22. Completes annual performance appraisals with input from manager
23. Provides ongoing feedback regarding staff job performance
24. Ensures staff completion of assigned competencies
25. Promotes professional growth of staff
26. Covers delegated tasks in absence of manager.
27. Functions according to the APTA Code of Ethics and standards of the profession.
28. Supports the practice of practitioner-teacher-investigator model by teaching and following evidenced based practice.
