This position will support the United States Space Force (USSF) 5th Space Launch Squadron and the launch services they support. ManTech's Air Force and Space Division is recruiting highly talented candidates to support a contract that provides full life cycle support to the United States Space Force (USSF) Assured Access to Space National Security Space Launch (NSSL) program. We provide services and support in a multitude of areas, including Systems Engineering & Integration, Acquisition & Program Management Support, Mission Integration Management, System Safety & Environmental Engineering, Systems Security & Information Assurance, Launch Schedule and Risk Management, Digital Engineering.

This position also performs system and subsystem design implementation, integration and tests. Participates in software requirement review, applications and tool definition, design, implementation, integration, test, software acceptance review and iteration. Performs software application related development tasks as directed. Interacts with customer personnel on technical matters, often supporting coordinated activity across organizational lines.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**

+ Responsible for software web applicationsrequiredto support the 5th Space Launch Squadron.  Involvesmaintaining,extendingor rewriting existing applications, or creating new applications which can be accessed from multiple groups,basesand domains.

+ The Software Engineer will have knowledge of modern web development strategies and techniques to support existing projects and future application development. The work is mostly on complex projects integrating multiple systems and includes all phases of the software lifecycle.

+ Provide support for team-developed applications; design and develop web or cloud-hosted applications; investigate andidentifyopportunities for efficiency enhancements to our software development processes and for the enterprise processes our applications support; application,serverand tool administration.

+ Develop and provide user and leadership training for existing or newlydeveloped  applications.

+ Provide regular status updates to customer technicalleads andparticipatein and lead agile software development methodologies.

+ Work as integral team member of the software development team including individual and virtual pair programming.

**Minimum Qualifications: **

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer ScienceorBachelor’s Degreein STEM field1.5 years of Software Development experience may be accepted in lieu of each 1 year of education/degree requirement.

+ 5+years of experience as a Software Engineer, programmer, or software developer

+ 3+yearsDoD or Launch/Range experience.

+ Development experience using the following or equivalent: HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript,asynchronous programming, Restful Framework, Agile, UX design,C#or Python.Experience using software development planning tools,source control tools,and task automation tools.

+ CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain certificationwithin 6 months of hire.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience indevelopment orengineering with performing one or more of the following: DevOps/DevSecOps, Database Management with PostgreSQL, MongoDB and/or other DBMS; building Restful APIs using .NET Core or Python;VueJS/VuetifyFramework,WebSockets, Flask, Web Services; Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, AI/ML data pipelines, Data Analysis, performance enhancement, backup/recovery, job automation.

+ Experience in using and managing one or more of the following tools: CI/CD Pipelines; Git, GitLab, or GitHub;devcontainersin Visual Studio Code; Power Automate;PowerBI; Jira; Confluence;Mattermost(including administration and user management); Amazon Web Services; Nebula; Platform One.

+ Certification or Familiarity with: CompTIA Cloud+ or AWS certification; Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS) facilities, processes, providers, and operations.

+ Proficiencyin Microsoft Office, commercial business applications, and cloud-hosted platforms and applications.

**Clearance Requirements:**

+ Must be able to obtain andmaintainanActive Secret clearance

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

+ Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

+ Constantlyoperatesa computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

+ Frequently communicates with co-workers,managementand customers, which may involve delivering presentations.Mustbe able to exchangeaccurateinformation in these situations.
