**Position Type: Part Time**

**Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour**

**What You'll Do:**

+ Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and/or controlled access points, with attention to movement, unusual activity, and policy compliance.

+ Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted or controlled areas.

+ Support order within the location by following post orders, interacting professionally with occupants, and assisting with security-related responses during emergencies, transports, and/or elevated-risk situations.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ An armed guard card/license is required.

+ A minimum of 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
