Technical Engineer V

**Location:** Buffalo, NY (Hybrid Remote – onsite at Seneca One 4 days/week)

**Duration:** 12 months

CTG is seeking an experienced Technical Engineer V to support enterprise cloud security initiatives for our client. This senior-level engineering role focuses on Azure Cloud Security, infrastructure architecture, policy governance, and enterprise systems support within a complex financial services environment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise with Azure Permissions, Azure Policy, and enterprise cloud governance frameworks. Experience with GitLab and Microsoft Enterprise Policy as Code (EPAC) is highly preferred.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Lead the design, implementation, and support of secure enterprise infrastructure and cloud solutions.

+ Serve as a subject matter expert for Azure Cloud Security technologies and services.

+ Develop and maintain Azure Policies, permissions structures, and governance controls.

+ Collaborate with technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and support teams to deliver scalable technical solutions.

+ Support infrastructure architecture, systems integration, testing, and deployment activities.

+ Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective engineering solutions.

+ Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across project teams.

+ Participate in project estimation, budgeting, and planning initiatives.

+ Ensure compliance with enterprise risk, audit, and regulatory standards.

+ Promote industry best practices, IT governance standards, and operational excellence.

**Required Qualifications:**

+ 10+ years of combined higher education and/or professional experience in systems engineering, infrastructure architecture, or technical engineering.

+ Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Security in enterprise environments.

+ Experience with Azure Permissions and Azure Policy management.

+ Advanced troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

+ Strong understanding of infrastructure lifecycle management, systems architecture, and IT Service Management.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

+ Experience with GitLab and Microsoft Enterprise Policy as Code (EPAC).

+ Experience with additional cloud platforms beyond Azure.

+ Strong knowledge of server/client and virtual technologies.

+ Experience leading or supporting complex infrastructure and cloud transformation initiatives.

+ Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
