CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer II opening for our client.

**Location:** Buffalo, NY

**Duration:** 4 months

**Overview:**

Seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer II to design, develop, and support scalable applications in a microservices environment. This role focuses on delivering robust Java-based solutions while collaborating across teams to support business-critical systems.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java 21 and Spring Boot

+ Build and support microservices-based architectures

+ Perform systems analysis, debugging, and testing

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the SDLC

+ Lead or support technical projects and mentor junior developers

+ Develop technical documentation and implementation plans

**Required Skills & Experience:**

+ 12–15 years of Java development experience

+ Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, and Oracle Database

+ Experience with system design, testing, and debugging

+ Ability to manage multiple complex projects

+ Strong problem-solving and communication skills

**Preferred:**

+ Banking or payments industry experience

+ Experience with enterprise application frameworks

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
