We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master II to provide servant leadership and Agile coaching for multiple cross-functional teams. This role is responsible for fostering high-performing Agile teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, driving continuous improvement, and promoting Agile best practices throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and leadership skills, a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, and the ability to influence teams and stakeholders without direct authority.
**Location:** Buffalo, NY (In-office 4 days per week)
**Duration:** 12 months
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Lead and coach multiple Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile frameworks.
+ Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
+ Foster team self-organization, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
+ Remove obstacles and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve cross-functional impediments.
+ Coach teams on Agile best practices, including user stories, story mapping, ATDD, TDD, continuous integration, and information radiators.
+ Promote transparency through Agile metrics and workflow visualization.
+ Mentor less experienced Scrum Masters and contribute to Agile maturity across the organization.
+ Collaborate with business and technology leaders to improve Agile adoption and delivery effectiveness.
+ Support risk management, compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements as needed.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience as a member of an Agile team, including at least 2 years of Scrum Master experience; OR a combined minimum of 8 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 4 years of Agile team experience and 2 years of Scrum Master experience.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of Agile principles, practices, and frameworks.
+ Experience coaching and managing multiple Agile teams simultaneously.
+ Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive team performance.
+ Strong facilitation, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience in multiple technology disciplines such as project management, business analysis, software development, testing, user experience, or deployment.
+ Knowledge of Agile and Lean methodologies.
+ Experience developing and managing digital capabilities.
+ Understanding of Design Thinking principles.
+ Experience leading organizational change through influence.
+ Scrum certifications such as CSM, PSM, or equivalent.
