DC Training Associate - Starting Pay 25.00

**Job Posting:**

+ **The Houston MDC is looking for a DC Trainer for its 2nd & 3rd Shift - Schedule: Monday - Friday: 4pm - 12:30am - Over time as needed**

+ Participate in project or team meetings to assess and understand training requirements, including safety topics

+ Engage with teams periodically to stay updated on operational and safety changes impacting training materials and documentation.

+ Collaborate with key service owners to align training initiatives with strategic and safety objectives.

+ Regularly conduct both scheduled and ad hoc training sessions for associates, with a focus on operation efficiency and workplace safety.

+ Develop and refine curriculum tailored to specific distribution center services, operational processes, and health and safety compliance.

+ Utilize the Enterprise Learning Management (ELM) system to track and manage training activities.

+ Conduct safety training to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company health and safety policies to include full completion and maintaining required documentation.

+ Ability to monitor and run reports related to training expiration dates and report out to management.

+ Develop a routine communication plan to avoid overdue or incomplete training.

+ Analyze post-training surveys to identify areas for improvement and enhance training and safety practices.

+ Provide feedback to line managers regarding associate performance, including adherence to safety protocols.

+ Explore and implement alternative training delivery methods to increase accessibility and efficiency.

+ Focus areas for training include but are not limited to: Business applications; Operational technologies; Workplace safety and hazard prevention; Emergency response procedures.

**Qualifications:**

+ Prior experience as a trainer in a distribution center or logistics environment preferred.

+ Prior experience preferred in operating a variety of powered industrial trucks (PITs).

+ Familiarity with distribution center operations, health and safety regulations, and infrastructure preferred.

+ High accuracy in reporting and producing training documentation.

+ Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

+ Outstanding presentation and written communication abilities.

+ Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships.

+ Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety compliance protocols is a plus.

+ Ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and convey new information.

+ Proactive and self-motivated with minimal supervision required.

+ This position plays a crucial role in developing the skills of distribution center associates while ensuring a safe and efficient working environment, contributing to the overall success of the department.

$16.36 - $35.54

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
