Infrastructure Planning Lead

**Summary:**

We are looking for an Infrastructure Planning Leader to own Meta's medium-range and long-range infrastructure capacity planning process end to end. In this role you will work across infrastructure engineering teams, product groups, and finance to translate product and AI roadmaps into a multi-year plan for compute, power, and data center capacity. You will design the planning process itself, build alignment on it across a large and technically diverse set of partner teams, educate those teams on how to participate, and guide both demand and supply organizations through its execution. This is a senior individual contributor role for a planning practitioner with depth across data center infrastructure, power, supply chain, and infrastructure demand.

**Required Skills:**

Infrastructure Planning Lead Responsibilities:

1. Own the medium-range and long-range infrastructure capacity planning processes end to end, from demand collection through supply commitment.

2. Partner with infrastructure engineering teams, product groups, and finance to translate product and AI roadmaps into multi-year compute, power, and data center capacity requirements.

3. Design, document, and iterate on the planning process, including the planning calendar, required inputs, decision checkpoints, and published outputs.

4. Educate partner teams on the planning process and build the shared definitions, artifacts, and templates that teams use to participate in it.

5. Guide demand teams in forecasting and articulating their infrastructure requirements, and guide supply teams in translating those requirements into build, procurement, and deployment plans.

6. Identify gaps between forecasted infrastructure demand and planned supply, and drive the trade-off decisions needed to close them.

7. Define the metrics used to measure forecast accuracy, plan attainment, and capacity utilization, and drive improvement against those metrics over time.

8. Partner with data center and supply chain teams on lead times, constraints, and sequencing that determine when capacity can be delivered.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

Minimum Qualifications:

9. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

10. 15+ years of experience in capacity planning, supply chain planning, or demand planning

11. Experience designing and owning a recurring, multi-quarter planning process spanning multiple organizations

12. Experience with data center infrastructure planning, including power, capacity, or supply chain constraints

13. Experience presenting planning recommendations and trade-offs to executive-level audiences

**Preferred Qualifications:**

Preferred Qualifications:

14. Experience with long-range capacity planning for hyperscale, cloud, or large-scale data center infrastructure

15. Experience with capacity planning for AI or machine learning training and inference workloads

16. Experience with quantitative modeling, scenario planning, or optimization methods applied to capacity or supply decisions

17. Familiarity with data center power delivery, cooling, or site selection constraints in a hyperscale environment

18. Experience partnering with finance organizations on capital planning or capital expenditure forecasting

19. Experience with hardware supply chain planning, including supplier lead times, constraints, and procurement cycles

20. Master's degree or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics, or a relevant technical field

**Public Compensation:**

$271,000/year to $347,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

**Industry:** Internet
