**CTG is seeking to fill a Logistics and Transportation Analyst position for our client.**
**Location:** Baytown, TX
**Duration:** 11 months
**Pay Rate:** $51.50–$55.00/hour
**Duties:**
+ Manage and execute a portfolio of logistics and transportation optimization projects to improve cost, service, and risk across site operations.
+ Develop and implement standards and sustainable strategies for integrated logistics, including transportation, logistics purchasing, and site logistics.
+ Identify and drive optimization opportunities related to efficiency, quality, cost, automation, and digitalization.
+ Analyze material flow and logistics infrastructure to anticipate bottlenecks and implement early-warning and mitigation solutions.
+ Lead and coordinate logistics capital investment projects to enhance supply-chain performance.
+ Develop operational excellence across transportation modes (truck, rail, and ship).
+ Support make-or-buy decisions for external logistics and transportation services.
+ Identify logistics and supply-chain risks; implement solutions to reduce delays and improve operational reliability.
+ Analyze logistics performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Promote logistics safety, conduct root cause analysis of incidents, and lead corrective and preventive actions.
+ Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and distribution regulations through training, oversight, and governance.
**Skills:**
+ Strong knowledge of logistics, transportation management, and integrated supply-chain operations.
+ Experience with process optimization, continuous improvement, and project management.
+ Analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance metrics and translate data into actionable insights.
+ Understanding of transportation modes, logistics sourcing strategies, and regulatory compliance.
+ Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
**Experience:**
+ Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or supply-chain analysis within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
+ Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving operational improvements.
+ Exposure to logistics automation, digital tools, or optimization technologies preferred.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
