**Summary:**

The Systems Integration Engineer (SIE) is responsible for the successful Integration of new hardware platforms & new infrastructure technologies into the data center. This includes leading the system design for serviceability (DFS) requirements which will guide the hardware design starting from the architecture planning phase, implementation along with validating new data center hardware tooling & automation readiness for deployment at scale, and troubleshooting critical systematic issues from the fleet.Meta is seeking a proactive, experienced engineer with deep technical leadership experience and skills in Server Hardware, high performance Compute, Storage, ASICs, Accelerators (GPU), and/or Networking in a data center environment.These skills will be used to develop test plans for the operational integration of future AI/ML, compute, storage, and networking products into the existing software tooling infrastructure. The candidate shall also have knowledge of the AI/ML system architecture at the block level with hands-on skills to triage the systematic failures in the field.This role will interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the organization. This role requires an experienced, dedicated professional to effectively collaborate and influence internal stakeholders on the validation of infrastructure tooling support for Meta-designed hardware.In this role, you will work in a small, cross-functional team focused on solving complex hardware integration challenges.

**Required Skills:**

Systems Integration Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Lead new product introduction and associated processes for the successful launch of new hardware platforms into our data centers globally

2. Lead architecture reviews with hardware engineering teams to analyze and develop diagnostic coverage plans for both hardware and software

3. Lead hardware reviews and drive system Design for Serviceability requirements to ensure form, fit and function for new hardware development in our existing data center environment/architecture

4. Lead the development and execution of Data Center readiness tooling validation testing based on tooling development plans

5. Early engagement with design development teams (both internal and external) to drive improvements and influence hardware and tooling architecture

6. Collaborate with cross functional teams & development partners to deliver aligned new hardware platform roadmaps and gain agreement on implementation milestones

7. Collaborate with cross functional partners in Meta's Data Center Operations team to understand infrastructure deployment and operational requirements

8. Collaborate with Production Engineers, Hardware Validation Engineers, Tooling Automation Engineers, and Data Center Operations Engineers to build thorough test strategy and test plans for validating the software needed for Data Center Operations

9. Work with ODM/OEM vendors as needed to define the product specifications, development plans & test plans

10. Capture lessons learned from production issues and create test cases to address those issues in future hardware platforms

11. 25% domestic and/or international travel is required to Meta Data Centers/ offices

12. BS engineering or commensurate technical experience

13. 5+ years of experience in system administration or engineering, hardware validation testing and/or acceptance testing of AI/ML, compute, storage, or networking equipment

14. Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams

15. Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners to identify and resolve technical challenges

16. Experience developing test plans derived from specifications and executing those plans using industry-standard testing tools for successful completion

17. Experience with ASIC, compute, storage, and network architecture and components, hardware troubleshooting and diagnosis, and/or hardware manufacturing

18. Experience working in a cross-cultural environment with remote teams

19. Experience coding in higher-level languages (e.g., Python, PHP, C++, or Java)

20. Experience learning software, frameworks, and APIs

21. Experience with operational validation methods and verification activities for the new product's integration

22. Experience building cross-functional relationships and influencing policies and procedures to improve hardware platform integration into data centers

23. Experience introducing new hardware platforms into data centers, including developing hardware system test plans or validation planning as a systems engineer supporting AI/ML, compute, storage, and network hardware in a data center environment

$144,000/year to $204,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
