**Description**

Our team is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test with experience in building both client and server test automation. We operate in an agile environment and are building test infrastructure to enable continuous delivery, where every code change is thoroughly tested and ready for deployment. As Apple Pay experiences exponential growth, we need to scale our test infrastructure for fast, effective integrations. Come join us and help drive this initiative.

In this role, you will use your strong programming fundamentals to design, document, and automate tests. You will also design and develop scalable services that build a robust test infrastructure. We are looking for someone with initiative, a curiosity for new technologies, and an aptitude for solving complex technical challenges. You will collaborate closely with developers, test engineers, and project managers to build high-quality server solutions. You’ll be involved in all phases of the application, directly impacting the experience of millions of customers.

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Proficiency in object-oriented programming and design, with experience in a languages like Java or Kotlin.

+ Experience designing, building, or extending test automation frameworks (e.g., Kotest, TestNG).

+ Ability to design and execute comprehensive server-side test plans.

+ Experience building or consuming web services and working with both gRPC and REST based services.

+ Solid understanding of web technologies, including front-end (e.g., REACT) and back-end systems.

+ Foundational understanding of application security concepts (e.g., authentication, authorization, cryptography).

+ A passion for evangelizing software testing best practices and influencing architecture and design decisions.

+ Ability to troubleshoot issues across the stack, including OS, database, network, and application servers.

+ Proficiency with Linux environments and at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript).

+ Proficiency with using AI tools for developer productivity.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Foundational knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning technologies with applications in Quality Engineering.

+ Experience with SQL/NoSQL data-stores, Search, Caching and Messaging platforms.

+ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
