**Description**

APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. Work with Apple's IS&T team to drive development of self-service tools and data models to better support business analytics by designing and developing data pipelines, building data products, building tools to improve efficiency of analytical and reporting needs of users across Apple in the cloud Enterprise Data Warehouse. Participate in review of data solutions during design and development phase including Physical Model reviews with the development teams to provide inputs on improving performance. Perform continuous analysis of the database environment to capitalize on system-wide tuning opportunities. Perform optimization by continuous analysis of the database environment to capitalize on system-wide tuning opportunities and also looking at database resource utilization by intensive ETL and individual user queries. Analyze workloads to improve throughputs to meet response-time SLA's while optimizing resource consumption. Drive new platform features testing, rollout and adoption. Identify problem areas, suggest and deliver scalable solutions leveraging cloud based technologies. Partner with groups across Apple which include Operations, Sales, Retail, Finance, AppleCare, Marketing, Legal and others on data governance, reporting tools, hierarchy management and KPI's. Review software designs to ensure that they are optimized for performance, scalability and be a leader with vision and champion in automation. Provide second-level support to address any system wide service performance and stability issues. Work on Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) platform to provide a scalable, high performance, and active data platform. Build cloud-scale and micro/macro-services architectures. 40 hours/week.

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

+ 5 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:

+ Using Snowflake Enterprise data warehousing, architecture, execution methodology in building data metrics pipeline, and performance optimization.

+ Using SQL to conduct data analysis, optimizing and improving query performance to meet the data and reporting needs of business teams.

+ Creating frameworks and applications using Python to bring in automation, self-service tools to improve overall efficiency of the platform.

+ Using AWS Cloud Services like EC2, S3, IAM, ELB, Glacier, EKS, Route 53 and associated services to build, deploy, manage robust scalable applications in Cloud.

+ Using Cloud deployment techniques like CICD, git deployment, Terraform and cloud infrastructure services to deploy and effectively running the services in the platform.

+ Managing and optimizing relational and NoSQL databases, including Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and SQL Workbench, to store and query structured/unstructured data efficiently.

+ Utilizing big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, and Presto to process large datasets, optimize queries, and improve data analytics performance.
