**Description**
APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. Advance the Kubernetes infrastructure, driving innovation by implementing cutting-edge capabilities and tools that will power Apple Services Engineering. Collaborate closely with a dedicated team of Kubernetes experts to enhance and automate the infrastructure, ensuring seamless management across both data centers and cloud services. Work directly to contribute to the resilience, scalability, and performance of the systems that support millions of users worldwide. Develop and deploy new Kubernetes capabilities that improve the efficiency and reliability of our cloud infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement automation tools that streamline operations and reduce manual intervention. Optimize cloud-based services to ensure they scale effectively, handling increasing loads while maintaining high performance. Innovate on API development and integration, enabling seamless communication between our applications and services. Support current Kubernetes platform, assisting in incident management, partner/customer engagement and maintaining stability of the service. Utilize expertise in Kubernetes, participate in architecture discussions and decisions that will drive the improvement of the platform as well as customer experience. 40 hours/week.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
+ One year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
+ Using concurrency, multithreading, distributed systems, and server architectures to design and build wide distributed systems.
+ Developing and debugging system-level services in high performance languages including Go or Java.
+ Working with HTTP to build networking communications between services, using HTTP toolkit or equivalent.
+ Implementing containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code tools.
+ Implementing performance analysis, debugging, and observability tools using open-source tooling and/or cloud tooling including AWS and GCP.
+ Understanding data structures (arrays, linked lists, maps) and algorithms for writing efficient and optimized code.
+ Utilizing knowledge of databases and SQL or NoSQL for storing and retrieving data used by the software.
+ Working on version control using tools including Git and GitHub for managing code changes and collaborating with other developers.
