Our facility, located at 825 East Howard Lane, encompasses three buildings ranging from manufacturing to research and development. The ATX site accommodates approximately 1400 employees when fully occupied.As our General Maintenance & Facilities Support Technician, you ll be part of a team that keeps our workplace running seamlessly. All actions performed by our GMM will help strengthen our partnership with our manufacturing and support functions. You will be working alongside our subject matter experts (SMEs) on critical equipmentyou will also play a role in ensuring our space is safe, functional, and ready for the business. Your work will directly impact on the comfort, efficiency, and productivity of every person in the building.
This opportunity is for an entry to intermediate-level Facilities Mechanical Technician (GM2). As a part of the ATX Facilities team, you will join a highly qualified group of technicians reporting directly to the ATX Facilities manager. Our Austin Facilities team is eager to train the right candidate, ready to embrace a more advanced form of Facilities technician role. Given the specific climate and humidity specifications for our production facility's products, the ideal candidate must comprehend and meet these demands and specifications. Working closely with senior technicians, this role involves monitoring building system operations and performance, utilizing various trade skills such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, reading drawing/floor plans, life safety inspections, file retention, and handling commercial kitchen equipment. #FAC
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Adherence to all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and BAE Systems directives related to building operations and work safety.
+ Provide moving servicesFurniture set for large meetings and events, rearranging furniture, relocating equipment, and setting up workstations for new team members or projects, major event set ups.
+ Install and mount items such as dry erase boards, framed artwork, signage, and monitors with precision and care.
+ Execution of assigned day-to-day repairs through the BMS Maximo program, handling emergency, and preventive maintenance tasks.
+ Documentation of maintenance and repair records as required.
+ Reviewing assigned work orders and collaborating with the administrative team to procure necessary materials and supplies for task completion.
+ Assistance with the installation and modification of building equipment systems.
+ Conducting troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including HVAC components (chillers, VAV, humidification systems, cooling towers, pumps).
+ Inspection of new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
+ Maintenance of lighting systems throughout the facility via our automated lighting system, involving cleaning fixtures and replacing LED light assembly.
+ Grounds maintenance for the facility or property.
+ Rapid response to emergencies, with the ability to summon additional assistance as needed.
+ On-call duty once or twice a month.
+ PIT (powered industrial truck) background knowledge
+ Elevated work (Scissor lift)
+ Familiar with Microsoft Office
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
+ Strong reading, writing, and basic math abilities.
+ Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Friendly and customer-focus attitude
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $43641 - $69824

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
