Close and Reporting Senior Manager, Cloud Finance Controllership

Minimum qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.

+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).

+ Candidates will typically have 14 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 10 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.

+ Experience building, developing, or leading a team.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Audit experience.

+ Experience driving process improvement and other project management experience in cross-functional and high-growth environments.

+ In depth understanding of US GAAP accounting principles, including working knowledge of business recognition.

+ Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, and to support complex operational initiatives.

+ Ability to lead and drive work forward with cross-functional, senior stakeholders.

You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. You will have the opportunity to support one of Google’s fastest growing organizations, and experience all facets of finance/accounting with respect to the Cloud business. You will be able to collaborate closely across the global Controllership organization to lead Cloud’s close process, improve the quality and efficiency of our close and reporting, and drive system automation and reporting.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000-$273,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Support multiple high-priority, high-visibility areas of impact across Cloud Controllership.

+ Lead a team responsible for overseeing Cloud Controllership’s global close processes including timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities for all accounting areas and all associated activities.

+ Lead Cloud’s reporting function, partnering across Controllership and Finance teams to support and continuously improve and scale close and reporting processes, including international expansion.

+ Monitor and analyze across the organization to continuously develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining effectiveness of controls and drive automation.

+ Partner closely across Finance to support diligence, executive reporting, and regular business reviews.
