The Maintenance Specialist performs specialized maintenance duties to ensure a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents, guests and team members. This role supports building operations, completes assigned projects and helps maintain community systems and grounds to Sunrise standards.

What You’ll Do:
• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and specialty projects
• Perform general repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry and appliance work
• Assist with HVAC, refrigeration, water systems and mechanical equipment
• Support painting, refurbishing and resident suite “make ready” preparation
• Maintain tools, repair parts and equipment inventory
• Partner with vendors and contractors for specialty systems
• Perform preventative maintenance per safety regulations
• Participate in fire drills and disaster preparedness programs
• Support housekeeping functions as needed
• Ensure OSHA, life safety and Risk Management compliance
• Document work in maintenance logs and communicate resident concerns
• Assist with community vehicle driving as assigned
