Software Engineer

Become an integral part of a diverse team that delivers enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce performing a wide range of missions in defense of our Nation. It is the contract vehicle for the Enterprise Infrastructure Services organization overseeing MPO’s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT). EIT is MPO’s backbone- platform for all Enterprise users. Data Center & Compute Services is the EIS enabling organization working with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and vendors to deliver select EIT.

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Software Engineer** to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**

+ Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.

+ Review and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.

+ Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.

+ Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

+ Provide Help Desk Support; ticket handling/resolution, utilizing JIRA.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience OR associate’s degree with 15 years of relevant experience OR high school diploma with 20 years of experience

+ Experience scripting with Java using Linux

+ Strong background with Docker using Maven

+ Proficiency with Git/Gitlab; knowledge and experience with CI/CD and GitOps Principles

+ Experience with Helm, Kubectl, and Kubernetes

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience with Flux and Kustomize

+ Experience with kafka, kyverno and/or minio

+ Willingness to learn integration and perform upgrade support of open-source software deployments

+ Willingness to learn and do updates for current Golang software

**Clearance Requirements:**

+ Current active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

**Physical Requirements:**

+ The candidate must be able to move, carry and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer’s desk. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
