Respiratory Care Supervisor

Join us at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital where we have been providing world-class care to our community for over 100 years. Here, we strive for patient-centered care and comfort with our collaborative team of healthcare professionals. We are committed to serving the community and treat our patients as family.

As a Respiratory Supervisor, you'll provide hands-on respiratory care while leading and supporting an assigned team of respiratory therapists. This is an opportunity to help build and shape the Akron General Respiratory Therapy program as it becomes more integrated with enterprise-wide respiratory therapy. You'll have the opportunity to influence department goals and performance, contribute to policies and procedures, and help foster a strong team culture. The role also offers the opportunity to build strong partnerships with ICU and Emergency Department physicians while working within a department supported by executive leadership and continued investment in resources and team growth.

Day to day, you'll focus on staffing and department operations, including coordinating schedules and shift assignments, filling staffing gaps, rounding throughout the hospital, and serving as a resource for respiratory therapists and nursing leaders. You'll help maintain equipment and supplies, answer policy and procedure questions, support evening huddles, and serve as the eyes and ears of the department during the off shift. You'll proactively identify concerns, solve problems, support your team, and provide clinical care when needed.
