Data Visualization Senior Section Leader

Data Visualization Senior Section Leader: Leads a team of BI professionals while delivering hands-on data visualization and analytics solutions.

Drives dashboard development and translates business needs into actionable insights.

Manages projects, team performance, and stakeholder communication across functions.

Partners with business and IT to align reporting with strategic goals.

Ensures best practices, continuous improvement, and adoption of modern BI tools and standards.

**What You’ll Do:**

Team Leadership and People Management

- Lead and develop a team of 4–8 data visualization professionals supporting multiple analytics and reporting initiatives

- Manage hiring, performance management, coaching, and career development

- Plan team capacity, staffing, and budgeting to support evolving business priorities

Data Visualization and Analytics Delivery

- Translate business requirements into effective dashboards, visualizations, and analytical solutions

- Ensure visual outputs support critical business decisions and operational performance

- Contribute directly as a hands-on practitioner in visualization development and analytics work

Project and Workstream Management

- Plan, prioritize, and coordinate assignments, projects, and operational activities for the team

- Monitor project progress and communicate status, risks, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders

- Participate in development of tactical plans aligned with departmental objectives

Stakeholder Engagement and Requirements Facilitation

- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to identify data needs, reporting requirements, and use cases

- Facilitate discussions to determine appropriate visualization approaches and analytical tools

- Ensure solutions align with business priorities and operational needs

Technology, Standards and Continuous Improvement

- Ensure adherence to IT operational standards, processes, and governance requirements

- Evaluate and recommend new visualization tools, technologies, and data resources

- Drive improvements in analytics capabilities, reporting efficiency, and visualization best practices

**What We’re Looking For:**

- Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business Administration, or related field

- 7 or more years of IT experience, including at least 3 years focused on business intelligence or data visualization

- Demonstrated experience delivering BI dashboards, analytics solutions, and enterprise reporting platforms

- Experience leading or mentoring technical teams while managing projects and stakeholder expectations

- Certifications in BI, data analytics, or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms) - Desired

- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and stakeholder collaboration skills in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
