Sr. Engineering Manager

Responsible for four departments of engineers, Coatings, Molding, Maintenance Services, & Tooling. This included direct supervision of managers and Sr. Engineering Supervisors.

Responsible for processes for plant operations. Also responsible for training of engineers and managers and special projects as required.

Responsible for Production engineering support to operations in the FF department operating 24 - 7. Also in charge of larger capital projects.

Responsible for plant operations including co-extrusion blown film lines producing food and medical grade products of up to eight layers with as many as 60 different resins. Also responsible for converting department to produce multilayer pouches and bags. Directly involved with turn over reduction, safety programs, operator extrusion training, and Supervisor skills training programs. Implemented screw replacement / rebuilding programs.

Responsible for total plant operations for the manufacture of plastic pipe and fabrications at the Waxahachie facility which operated 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Managed expansion of plant for $3.8MM on a budget of $4.5MM. During last five months, consecutive all time production records were set while maintaining the best quality and safety record in the system for the previous two years. (The preceding two years the facility had the worst safety record for any facility in the corporation). Note: Was promoted to this facility to clean up a very messy situation.
