* Performed a study that explored three areas: the effects of textbook content conversion to web-based instruction; students' perceptions of material that allowed for higher levels of learner control as compared to a more structured instructional model; and the design process as used to convert print material to web-based instruction.


* Concluded that provision of high learner control to high ability students proved sufficient for mastery of online course content indicating that educators should consider learner characteristics, validity of testing instruments, navigation, elaboration, and practical considerations when converting print materials to online delivery.
