•Efficiently manage Architecture and Interior Design Departments, and Infrastructure coordination for “Maritime” mega-project encompassing: port, ship building, infrastructure, 25 mfr buildings, 17 business and executive buildings, 119 apartment and dormitory buildings, 28 executive apartments and villas, mosques, public spaces and medical facilities.
»Pre-Construction
•Took full control of rewriting the contract’s special conditions, quality control sections, as well as adjusting the timelines for deliverables, enabling more efficient product substitutions and timely construction delivery.
•Crafted specifications, bid drawings, and addendum for bidding preparation, allowing bidders to present more accurate bids.
•Efficiently supervised the Bid Review Group in conducting technical review of incoming bids, drafting addendum, evaluating bids, aligned and tracked information with contract requirements and managed design development.
•Delivered recommendations in ensuring bid acceptance.
»During Construction
•Liaised with the Design Group, contractor, and management while coordinating all engineering designs with the design firm and contractor as well as all building information modeling (BIM) for the project.
•Carried out key tasks such as allocating manpower and creating work schedules; drafting legal letters to contractor; and provided clarification on technical queries while confirming their legitimacy in accordance with construction/ contract.
•Developed and authorized inspection methods specific to products used, rather than utilizing generic inspection processes that required more time and were inappropriate or outdated.
•Provided direct oversight of all consultants throughout their respective disciplines; reviewed their progress reports; and facilitated specific site activities to attain management goals. (Direct oversight of 90 persons)
Project Highlights
•Succeeded in saving more than $6M by minimizing the need for 12 water pump stations.
•Identified over 400 infrastructure errors during construction, which saved more than $10M in corrective action.
