Sr. NPI Sourcing Lead

Job Description


+ Program Manage Strategic Sourcing PDP activities for programs including but not limited to:

+ Sourcing Strategy

+ Supplier Selection

+ Cost Management

+ PDP Deliverable & Presentation Management

+ Pre-Production Build Material Supply / Coordination

+ Design Reviews

+ PPAP Completion

+ Proactively liaison between Engineering, Suppliers, Operations, and Strategic Sourcing to coordinate the on time delivery of components for vehicle development builds.

+ Prior to BOM release, Program Manage all development builds for Strategic Sourcing.

+ Analyze and manage MRP schedules for new parts and ensure timely part PO placements.

+ Facilitate smooth transition of responsibility to Material Planning upon release for production, insuring seamless impact to production schedules.

+ Lead process Improvement through the participation in Kaizen events, creation of standard work, managing functional related controlled documents, development of training material, and training new planners and buyers.

+ Lead procurement of supplier tooling and development schedule for all sourced components in accordance to project milestones.

+ Organize and lead VAVE events between suppliers and engineering, including engine tear-downs.

+ Identify gaps in supplier capability and technology, and proactively identify and on-board new suppliers as necessary with partnership of category sourcing teams.

+ Willingness to travel domestically and globally to collaborate and support potential supplier qualification and/or pre-production and concept builds.

**Preferred Skills:**

+ Proven program/project management experience; 5+ years; PMP preferred.

+ Excellent and demonstrated interpersonal skills including influencing without authority

+ Strong organizational and problem-solving skills including conflict management

+ Tremendous customer focus coupled with passion for recreational vehicles.

+ Aptitude to drive results on tight timelines

+ MBA Preferred

**Required Skills and Knowledge:**

+ BS/BA degree in Business or Engineering.

+ 5+ years in product development environments with demonstrated success highly preferred.

+ Thorough understanding and/or experience in gate review processes related to new product development.

+ Knowledge of engineering documentation, manufacturing process control, and technical data.

+ Demonstrated experience negotiating supply contracts with domestic and international suppliers.

+ Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook) supported by matching verbal and written communication skills.

+ Working knowledge of MS Project or other project management software.

+ Solid understanding of MRP

+ Working knowledge of applicable MAPICS modules
