Design Lead for multiple software scrum teams developing an end-to-end solution.

**Job Description**


+ Apply knowledge of architecture, software development methodologies, best practices and proven processes to deliver a quality software product on budget, within planned schedule with superb quality.

+ Work closely with Senior Architect within the Edison IoT project to develop end-customer services and UI, and to define and enforce architectural guidelines.

+ Work closely with the scrum team to implement design tenets and translate functional and non- functional requirements into artifacts.

+ Work with product owners across the business to understand market needs & vision; quickly translate that vision into demonstrable software. Quickly define and deliver working software prototypes.

+ Drive increased efficiency within the scrum team, ensure adherence to agile methods and the architectural blueprint established for the solution.

+ Support the engineering leadership in terms of scrum team op mechs (estimation, sprints, backlog creation, Release Planning and cadence for delivery).


+ Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science or Stem Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering (Any), and Math) and 10 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree related experience. Alternatively, the position requires a Master’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science or Stem Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering (Any), and Math) and 8 years of experience in a related occupation.

+ The position also requires: 8 years of development experience in CORE JAVA, SPRING, and HIBERNATE/JPA; 4 years of experience CLOUD technologies, preferably AZURE IOT; 4 years of experience in DB/SQL; 4 years of experience in ANGULAR, VUE or similar; 4 years of experience in design of rest services [and/or] JSON constructs; 2 years in IoT technologies.

+ Up to 10% of travel to various and unanticipated client sites nationally and internationally.

**Desired Skills:**

+ Candidate should be an expert on full-stack Java/JS/RDBMS design and able to independently define and disseminate an N-tier architecture for a complex application. Candidate should be able to discuss and debate a variety of architectural topics such as: secure coding practices, distributed systems and networking, testing methodologies, software scalability, and GDPR or other global privacy standards.

+ Demonstrated ability to work with global teams is highly desired.

+ Exposure to IoT platforms: Azure IoT, AWS IoT, PTC Thingworx, etc is preferred.

+ Background in Healthcare or other regulated environments is preferred.
