The incumbent of this position assists the director of applications and provides support for management, administrative and financial functions of the hospital. Function individually or as part of a development team. Provides consultation on complex projects as a top level contributor/specialist. Supervises the activities of consultants, system analysts and programmers. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Demonstrates a wide degree of creativity and latitude.

**NATURE AND SCOPE:**
The Senior Systems Analyst is under the administrative supervision of the director of applications. Interacts with all levels of internal employees; as well as external employees and vendors to review, evaluate, design and maintain CCIRH’s databases, applications and systems.
Supports the mission, vision and values of the hospital.
Responsible for working in a safe and protective manner at all times, keeping in mind that safety and environmental hazards are the responsibility of all employees for themselves, other staff members and patients.
Develop interfaces using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services.
Develop complex reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
Develop, maintain and monitor interfaces using integration engines.
Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design.
Confer with other systems analysts, system engineers and programmers to design systems and obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
Works with various user departments to define requirements and establish information flow and assure adequate controls are built into system for auditing and feedback.
Consult with customers about system design, integration and maintenance.
Monitors performance and utilization of data processing equipment to effect improvements and to uncover potential problem areas.
Coordinate software installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
Participate in systems’ analysis, programming and integration of all existing and new computer applications.
Keeps abreast of the state-of-the-art information systems hardware and software in order to recommend changes or upgrading of the hospital computer systems when appropriate.
Attends in-services and is compliant with essential education without prompting from manager.

Solid technical, project management and implementation experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare information systems.
Proven analysis skills with a track record of mentoring and developing staff.
Keep abreast of the state-of-the-art information systems hardware and software in order to recommend changes or upgrades.
Expert level using Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence Stack (SSIS, SSMS, SSRS, SSDT), Microsoft SQL Server tools, IBMi (AS/400) development and system tools, Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and Project.
Expert level analyzing and creating custom Paragon or Epic Reports for the entire organization.
Intermediate knowledge of FTP and SFTP protocols and integrating them into existing hospital systems.
Intermediate knowledge of Kronos architecture and applications as related to databases, interfacing, reporting and time clock functionality.
Must be able to work tactfully with associates of diverse work backgrounds and needs.
The incumbent should have a Bachelor’s Degree with major studies in both business and computer science. Work courses or technical school study may substitute if pertinent.
The incumbent should have at least five (5) years’ experience in hospital, financial or other business data processing. At least two (2) years should have been in a substantially responsible supervisory position.
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) expertise.
