**Position Description:** **RN**

**BayCare Health System** is currently seeking a **Registered Nurse** to join our outstanding and compassionate **Medical/Surgical Neuro** team at **St. Joseph’s Hospital** . As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness. The Neuro unit consists of neuro medical and neuro surgical patients. Come be a part of a comprehensive stroke unit that takes pride in delivering optimal care.

**The RN responsibilities include:**

+ Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.

+ Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.

+ Professional accountability and development.

+ Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

**Qualifications:**

**Certifications and Licensures:**

+ BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required

+ RN (Registered Nurse) license is required

+ ACLS Certification, if required by department

+ Nurse Specialty certification is preferred

**Education:**

+ Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required

+ Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred

**Experience:**

+ 2 years of RN experience is required.

**Specific Skills:**

+ Interpersonal skills

+ Critical thinking skills

+ Clinical skills appropriate to position
