+ System validation oversight

+ Interfacing with and/or replacement of Inline and Offline inspection systems

+ Maintain standard manufacturing asset structures for data collection and data contextualization.

+ Support and develop manufacturing data analytics including visualization, reporting, and analysis, using Division and Corporate standards.

+ Ensure secured IT infrastructure for continuous manufacturing operations with the Corp IT organization.

+ Lead and support manufacturing software system validation compliance with (local) regulatory requirements including 21CFR part 11.

+ Support data systems used in manufacturing including client server applications and networking.

+ Organize and plan projects to upgrade and maintain technology obsolescence plans.

+ Work closely with manufacturing and controls engineers to ensure data systems are available and meet the needs of plant operations

+ Partner with It to ensure all manufacturing data systems meet all Abbott standards and cyber security requirements

+ Interacts well with diverse groups within engineering and IT and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.

+ Possesses interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences.

+ Has a technical background in health care, nutritional products, consumer goods, pharmaceutical, or similar industries (preferred).

+ Experience with maintaining a data historian with interfaces to legacy and future controls systems.

+ Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems and PLC automation controls.

+ Experience with the following software systems preferred: OSI-PI, GE iFIX , Ignition, Rockwell Automation.

+ Demonstrate accountability and responsibility for Environmental Health and Safety performance and compliance through active participation and support of Abbott’s EHS program



+ A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence


+ 2+ years of IT, engineering, and/or operational experience.

+ Technical experience may contribute towards the desired education.

+ Has demonstrated competency within the area of manufacturing IT systems and data analytics.
