KPMG is currently seeking an Experienced Associate for our Tax practice to participate in the KPMG Master of Accounting with Data and Analytics Program.
+ Perform tax-related tasks that may include tax compliance, bankruptcy and restructuring advisory services, or tax due diligence to identify tax exposures and opportunities to a variety of clients that may include partnerships, hedge funds, private equity funds, multinational entities, corporations and S-corporations
+ Analyze the tax ramifications of various transactions and identify business incentives and tax credits available
+ Examine data and prepare documentation of analyses for financial reporting, tax and other business purposes
+ Support and help implement the use of enabling technologies in tax by working with Excel and a range of innovative technologies, including Alteryx, Power BI and KPMG proprietary tools
+ Understand the systems implications of enabling technologies, including extraction of data, processing of data and delivery of reports
+ Assist in developing custom data analysis approaches to address client specific issues and provide meaningful insight
+ Draft tax memos and structure PowerPoint decks and Excel models for various projects
+ Must be pursuing the state-specific education requirements to be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the principal place of business (the state in which the office is located) for this position, with completion prior to the start date for this position
+ Must have a current/most recent cumulative GPA over 3.0
+ Seeking a career with KPMG's Tax practice with an interest in data and analytics
+ Prior to starting employment, satisfactory completion of the KPMG Master of Accounting with Data and Analytics Program (the Program) internship
+ Prior to starting employment satisfactory completion of the KPMG Master of Accounting with Data and Analytics Program at the respective Program University
+ Proficient with KPMG's enabling technologies and related reports, extraction of data, the use of technology to analyze large populations of data, interpreting and analyzing financial information and trends, and identifying and addressing data integrity risks
+ Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude and critical think skills, and knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
+ Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; resourceful in delivering high quality work
+ Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises up to 20 percent, at times with relatively short notice
+ Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
