Utilization Review Team Lead

**The Team Lead Utilization Review responsibilities include:**

+ Directing and coordinating the daily operations of the UM department responsible for concurrent reviews and observation management

+ Ensuring that the reviews are performed utilizing the clinical decision making criteria to assure that the appropriate level of care is maintained

+ Drives transition of inpatients meeting discharge criteria, and management of observation patients within 48 hours

+ This position will report to the hospital based Manager and support the goals and policies of the department

+ Required experience includes 3 years of Case Management or 3 years of Utilization Management or 6 years of clinical nursing

**Certifications and Licensures:**

+ Required RN (Registered Nurse)

+ Preferred ACM (Case Management)

+ Preferred CCM (Case Manager)

**Education:**

+ Required Associates in Nursing or

+ Preferred Bachelors in Nursing

**Experience:**

+ Required 3 years in Utilization Management or

+ Required 3 years in Case Management or

+ Required 6 years in Clinical Nursing
