+ **Shift:** Variable

+ **On Call:** Yes

+ Always in person

**Summary:**

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

+ RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

+ RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

+ RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization

+ RN is also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, we strongly prefer at least 1 year RN experience in the Operating Room.

**Specific Skills:**

+ Clinical skills appropriate to position

+ Interpersonal skills

Certifications and Licensures:

+ BLS (Basic Life Support)

+ RN (Registered Nurse)

+ ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department

+ Preferred Nurse Specialty

Education:

+ Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing

+ Preferred Bachelor's Nursing

+ Applicable certification such as CNOR, preferred
