Production Support Engineer

**SALARY:** $ 74,800 - $86,500, bonus and benefits eligible

**JOB SUMMARY:**

The Supply Chain Analytics team is looking for a production support engineer to support a variety of business intelligence and reporting processes across transportation, planning, warehousing, and several other teams in the supply chain organization. The ideal candidate will be able to handle numerous technical requests filed by end users in the supply chain, particularly around legacy processes, platforms, and systems. The production support engineer should be a master at troubleshooting and resolving errors, logging details, and communicating updates. The production support engineer should also be a leader in process reclamation, documentation, and continuous improvement.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Troubleshoot and resolve errors identified by the Supply Chain Analytics team, business users, or by the production support engineer directly

+ Analyze data inconsistencies, bugs, and performance related issues, often shifting priorities in a rapidly changing environment

+ Log details and communicate updates to all stakeholders in a timely manner

+ Query databases and data warehouses to access data using efficient SQL queries

+ Demonstrate commitment to software development best practices, including documentation, reusable code design, test driven implementation, and integrated software testing

+ Assist Data Engineers and BI Engineers as needed by contributing to process improvement initiatives

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS:**

+ Bachelor's degree required. Concentration in computer science, IT/IS, engineering, statistics, supply chain, business, or related field preferred

+ At least 2 years of experience in production support, software, or data engineering or a related field (such as business intelligence or data analytics)

+ Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment

+ Ability to take initiative, handle multiple tasks, shift priorities, and meet deadlines

+ Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software as necessary, with little oversight

+ Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

**Technical Skills Required:**

+ Mastery of SQL, with extensive experience writing DML and DDL statements

+ Knowledge of relational database management systems and data warehouses

+ Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and workflow management

+ Knowledge of a data visualization/BI tool - Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, Looker, etc.

+ Knowledge of SAS, Python, R, or similar programming language

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Access (including VBA)

**Technical Skills Preferred:**

+ Experience with Snowflake, Delta Lake, Oracle, and/or Microsoft SQL Server

+ Experience with Azure ecosystem - ADF, ADLS, Databricks, SQL Database

+ Experience with Git, CI/CD processes, and knowledge of Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar tools (e.g. Jira or GitLab)
