Offset Press Operator

We are searching for an experienced Offset Press Operator at our St Louis, MO facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

We are hiring a printing machine operator to run our offset printing presses. 2nd shift position/10 hours, Monday-Thursday. Must be willing to work overtime on weekends when required.

Position Summary:
To operate and maintain an offset printing press and produce high quality printed cards. Recognize and communicate any print anomalies to department lead.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Operate press (mount plates, apply ink, register plates, obtain color match).
- Maintain inventory of supplies.
- Work with other departments to maintain required timelines and mitigate scheduling issues.
- Track and record necessary shop floor data and press run information.
- Be responsible for keeping all work areas clean and orderly.
- Participate in process improvement efforts and various production meetings to foster a positive creative impact on the business.
- Work directly with onsite customers (visitors) for press checks on occasion.
- Maintain Press - Record daily, weekly and monthly maintenance records by keeping proper logs on file.
- Communicate necessary press maintenance in advance with Press Manager.
- Work closely with manager on improving department efficiency.
- Responsible to ensure that plant procedures are being followed.
- Assist in any additional responsibilities, as directed by management.

- Basic computer literacy.
- Strong technical print knowledge.
- Exceptional color vision.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent safety skills.

Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements: This position requires the following knowledge and skills:
- Previous experience operating a printing press and color management is a plus.
- Ability to work independently after initial training.

Physical Requirements:
The following physical requirements are commonly performed in this job. There are times, on occasion, when the employee may be asked or expected to perform duties with physical requirements that are different from those listed here. It is the employee's duty to notify the management of any physical limitations or inability to perform a certain task.
Prolonged standing up to 10 hours a day; constant walking, bending, reaching and grasping. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee will occasionally lift or move items up to 40 pounds. Ability to occasionally move up to 70 lbs.
