**Position Title: Engineer, Product Development, R&D**

**Location: Shenzhen, China**

**Reports to: Product Development Manager**

**Job Summary:**

Shenzhen R&D is searching for a highly motivated Product Development Engineer to support Calphalon new product development and implement improvements to existing Calphalon products. The ideal candidate will be able to work in cross-functional teams, balance work on multiple projects and manage to deadlines.

**Job Duties:**

+ Manage a project to develop and execute new products on time, cost and quality.

+ Responsible for finalized engineering product drawings with critical dimensions, performance specifications, and quality specifications including standards and test procedures.

+ Manage the creation of product prototypes and manage product testing for internal evaluation.

+ Ensure new products function properly, support all engineering builds (ESL, MSL, PPAP) and review engineering samples to meet technical specification.

+ Plan and coordinate new product development projects and activities as part of cross-functional development team.

+ Implement new products from mold/die shake-out/qualification through first production run.

+ Provide technical support to operations and outside vendors in solving product quality problems with existing products.

+ Drive productivity, support Calphalon VAVE projects.

**Job Requirements:**

+ B.S./M.S. Degree in Engineering/Science (Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials)

+ 3+ years in Product design experience by using 3D software (Creo preferred)

+ 3+ years in Engineering development experience in consumer products or related field

+ Proven track record of leading projects (on time/on cost/on spec).

+ Extensive knowledge of metal, plastic and related manufacturing process, demonstrates hands on prototyping/design validation model building.

+ Proficient CAD skills (CREO preferred)

+ Proficient MS office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint).

+ Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

+ Self-motivated

+ Customer & Consumer Focus

+ Familiar with PLM system, able to upload or download engineering docs from Windchill.

+ Experience with intellectual property and patent process

+ Proven record of strong creativity and a sense of passion for product design
