JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Shenango invites applications for a part-time lecturer in Computer Science for the Spring 2023 semester, to start on January 9, 2023.

The successful candidate will teach Programming for Engineers with MATLAB (CMPSC 200) which covers basic programming concepts including algorithm development, data types, number representation, control structures, functions, plotting, and basic numerical analysis techniques to solve simple engineering problems . N umerical analysis techniques covered in the course include matrix operations, systems of equations, solving equations, roots, curve fitting, interpolation, numerical integration, and ordinary differential equations.

A master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field is required. Previous college-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.
