The Public and Private Company Independence Procedures (PCIP) process, forms and tools were developed to provide EY’s framework for assessing our independence for various purposes, including prior to client acceptance and in certain circumstances when performing annual independence procedures for existing audit clients

**Your key responsibilities**

You'll use your subject matter knowledge to act as the initial or secondary point of contact for client engagement teams as well as for our offshore Global Delivery Services team. You'll provide information relating to the PCIP processes. To achieve this, you'll become familiar with policies and processes, determine required actions, and make recommendations based on firm guidance. In addition, you'll document the diligence with which tasks are performed, to help meet the demands of external regulators.

**Skills and attributes for success**

+ Identify key issues in the PCIP process, by comparing facts and circumstances to current EY policies

+ Handle information and requests from Independence consultants and client engagement teams and understand non-routine questions from client teams, and coordinate appropriate responses based upon collaboration within our team

+ Recommend improvements, and/or develop new approaches or deliverables, by utilizing your knowledge of existing PCIP processes, and your business experience

**To qualify for the role you must have**

+ Basic knowledge of project management tools and methodologies

+ Good problem solving skills

+ Ability to prioritize multiple projects or activities

+ Flexibility to adapt to different working situations

+ Adept at keeping sensitive information confidential

+ Strong research and communications skills

+ Good working knowledge of computers and common software packages, including analytical tools

+ 2-3 plus years of related experience

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

**Ideally, you’ll have**

+ The ability to learn and understand the firm and regulators’ independence rules and policies as well as familiarity with other quality & risk management initiatives outside your area of expertise

+ Ability to manage tasks and activities in a timely manner and be responsible for specific outcomes

+ A continuous learning and development environment

**What we offer**

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $65,400 to $115,100. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $78,500 to $130,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
