KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Intern for our Global Reward Services practice in Global Mobility Services.
+ Work on various employment issues and research treatment
+ Assist with writing client responses, white papers and reports
+ Support employee benefits portion of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) due diligence work by reviewing target company files to find compensation and benefit agreements for executives and other employees
+ Help review compensation provisions and assess applicable tax rules with senior members of the GRS group
+ Compile and calculate various compensation and benefit deductions and costs
+ Assist teams with tax compliance services for US and multinational companies
+ Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; a JD and/or LLM with a concentration in tax from an accredited college/university
+ Must have a current/most recent cumulative GPA over 3.00
+ Knowledge of a broad range of corporate, employment, and international tax law
+ Strong technical aptitude, demonstrated quality service mindset, critical thinking and research skills, and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
+ Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
+ Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice
