Marriott International, INC.: Senior Network Engineer – Bethesda, MD

**DUTIES:**

• Serve as part of a team responsible for designing and architecting network infrastructure to connect hotel guests, properties and partners.

• Responsible for designing optimal LAN and WAN networks comprising of routers, switches, firewalls, and load-balancers, including networks in data centers, corporate offices, and third-party co-location PoP sites all which host applications and interconnect hotel properties, users, systems, partners, vendors, and public/private cloud networks.

• Manage firewalls including segmentation, DMZs, remote access, and overall policy/rules management.

• Manage Data Center & Cloud Networks products and solutions, including the design, low level engineering, and delivery of new hardware systems for Marriott applications across the cloud and datacenter network.

• Approve and oversee projects to implement and maintain services while meeting deadlines.

• Manage vendors to meet obligations for engineering design, network implementation, and technical support service delivery and service restoration.

• Continuously improve operations processes, develop, and present best practices, technical concepts and technologies for innovative Data Center & Cloud Networks solutions

• Contribute input to help manage project schedules, risks, and costs.

• Serve as an escalation point to resolve service delivery and operational issues.

• Identify opportunities to enhance the service delivery processes.

• Other duties as assigned within area of responsibility.

**REQUIREMENTS** :

bachelor’s degree* in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related technical field and 7 years of experience in any related network engineering or development position (e.g. Lead Consultant, Infrastructure Architect, Cloud Transfer and Infrastructure Associate Manager, etc.). Experience must include:

• 7 years of experience with network routing protocols (BGP), subnetting, network ARPs and traceroute.

• 5 years of experience in an IT infrastructure lead role including areas of routing protocols, switch fabric technology, firewall security, and load-balancing architecture.

• 2 years of experience in Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls.

• 2 years of experience in cloud in a hybrid data center network; and,

• 1 year of experience in technical writing and delivering written document pertaining to network solutions and diagrams.

*Any combination of education, training and/or experience that has been evaluated by a reputable credentials evaluation service provider to be the equivalent of an U.S. bachelor’s degree will be accepted.

Position is 100% remote; may be performed from anywhere in the US.

**California Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is $140,855 to $209,169.00 annually.

**Colorado Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is $140,855 to $190,154.00 annually.

**Hawaii Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is $140,855 to $209,169.00 annually.

**New York Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is $140,855 to $209,169.00 annually.

**Washington Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is $140,855 to $209,169.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
