Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a **Mechanical Engineer** to join the **Infrastructure and Deployment** Team. This position is in **Roy, UT** and supports the **Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD)** program.

**What You’ll Get To Do:**

The selected candidate will work closely with the Design and Systems Engineering groups to develop, analyze, and maintain CAD models of Weapon System components and critical interfaces. This role will coordinate with teams from across the program to create integrated Interface Control Models and other supporting documents to adequately control critical interfaces. Roles and responsibilities include:

+ Develop CAD models and 3D model-based drawings using Siemens NX and Team Center

+ Ensure that 3D models are in alignment with requirements and specifications, and identify and resolve conflicts between interfacing models

+ Coordinate critical weapon system interfaces with internal and subcontractor design teams to resolve design gaps and develop data deliverables in a fast-paced design environment.

+ Create supporting models, analysis, and documentation to substantiate various trade studies and proposal activities.

+ Support the Analysis and Test group with the development of analytical models, including Finite Element Analysis models.

+ Prepare and present reports, briefings, and design documents to leadership and customers

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

**You’ll Bring These Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 2 years of experience; 0 years with Master’s Degree

+ Experience in CAD modeling and use of CAD tools (i.e., Siemens NX)

+ Experience with 3D model-based drawings

+ Must have US Citizenship with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access

**These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:**

+ Experience with Team Center (CPLM) and the Product Definition Package (PDP) release process

+ Proficient in use of Siemens NX CAD tool

+ GD&T experience or training

+ Experience with requirements management and model-based systems engineering principles

+ Proficiency in DOORS, CAMEO, Jira and Confluence

+ Experience with variety of aerospace and ground-based systems such as environmental control systems, shock isolation mechanisms, equipment mounting, and mechanical interfaces.

+ Experience with maintenance activities and integrating Human Factors requirements into the designs

+ Active DoD Secret clearance

Salary Range: $66,600.00 - $99,800.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
