We are currently seeking a Part Time, general lab, Medical Technologist for our Cityplex team.
Regional Medical Laboratory Inc. (RML), part of St. John Health System, is a nationally-renowned commercialreference laboratory that provides testing services for physicians and hospitals within a four-state region and performs more than 9 million procedures each year. RML provides services for multiple hospitals in the Oklahoma region and several satellite locations in Tulsa, northeastern and central Oklahoma and southeastern Kansas
For eligible positions we are offering a referral or relocation bonus up to$5,000 for experienced Medical Technologist per guidelines.
Schedule: 20 hours weekly, Part Time Evenings, Saturday 1:30pm to 12:30am Sunday. Monday and Tuesday evening from 6pm to 12:30am. Possibly one Sunday evening per month.
Responsibilities:
You will have the opportunity to performroutine diagnostic/analytic testing of laboratory specimens, and interpret, documents and reporttest results in compliance with department procedures and applicable regulations.

  • Performs routine diagnostic and analytic testing of laboratory specimens independently.
  • Performs, validates, interprets, documents and reports laboratory test results. May collect and process specimens.
  • Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. Executes and evaluates quality control and quality assurance procedures. Documents and reports as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Understands and participates in all aspects of clinical laboratory testing; pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical. Anticipates and maintains required supplies for uninterrupted testing.
  • Assists with data collection or special projects as assigned.
  • Assists in documentation, evaluation and submission of all required laboratory, departmental and staff statistics/reports.
  • Assists in training and mentoring MLTs, new associates and student


Requirements:
One or more of the following:

  • Medical Technologist (ASCP)credentialed from theAmerican Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC)obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Lab Scientist (ASCP)credentialed from theAmerican Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC).
  • Medical Techcredentialed from theAmerican Medical Technologists (AMT)obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date

Required Education:

  • Diploma
    • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
    • Bachelor degree preferred.


Work Experience:

  • None Required
  • Preferred Experience: 1+ years' experience performing Blood Bank (Type and screen, crossmatch, antibody ID), Coagulation, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Microbiology (set up and gram stain only), Waived kit testing.
