We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to help shape the future of our Windows products.

The team’s charter is to optimize our investments in cloud infrastructure while driving down unit cost of capacity, ensuring cloud services achieve both profit and gross margin growth. As a Senior Finance Manager on this team, you’ll also support long term bets and drive competitive intelligence to keep Microsoft Cloud ahead of the competition. All while enhancing transparency into Cloud Infrastructure investments and safeguarding shareholder interest.

We currently have an opening for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join the MSIO AI, Webxt and Consumer finance team leading business health for Windows.

**Responsibilities**

Responsibilities

+ Maintain reporting, conduct financial analysis, and provide deep business insights into the Windows product's gross margin performance. Lead monthly and quarterly finance health review with MSIO finance executives to articulate performance vs. expectations and provide cost improvement recommendations to aid margin expansion.

+ Own the operational driver analyses and messaging for sequential quarter over quarter (QoQ) & yearly cost and margin performance for Chief Financial Officer review and preview processes. Provide key insights on business health trends to finance leadership team, the Central Finance team, and Investor Relations.

+ Partner with peers across MSIO, Revenue, controllership, workload owners, and other finance teams to ensure alignment on numbers and consolidate actionable data and variance stories.

+ Execute core monthly financial processes, reporting and provide visibility into execution variance versus plan. Communicate results to partners and facilitate trade off decision making to mitigate financial risk.

+ Lead consolidated forecast, long range planning (LRP), Close, and margin accountability program (MAP) efficiency processes for Windows; leveraging inputs and insights from various line item and workload owners to create consolidated and consistent simplified and actionable reporting.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Required Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

+ OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

+ OR equivalent experience.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Demonstrated ability to form and influence cross-functional partnerships to deliver high-value projects both as an individual and through v-teams with business partnering skills

+ Proven data and financial modeling capabilities and ability to work with financial systems

+ Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way. Executive level oral and written communication skills.

+ Proven leadership skills, with demonstrated results in proactively driving and delivering high value/high-impact project results through both individual and v-team efforts.

+ Ability to drive best-in-class decision support in ambiguous environments. Partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence others without direct authority and appropriately push back when required.

+ Deep understanding of the technology industry, particularly commercial public and private cloud services, business models and economics preferred

+ Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic/high-level projects to detailed analysis

+ Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines, quickly prioritize for impact and the resourcefulness to deliver

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.
