Associate Director, Business Insights Specialist (BIS) is a key member of the Sandoz Strategic Insights & Analytics. In partnership with marketing, sales leadership, finance, market access and other various key stakeholders, the business insights specialist is responsible for using expert market research and analytics to provide meaningful market insights which enable effective, data driven decision-making. Associate Director, Business Insights Specialist (BIS) is a key member of the Specialty POD 1 (Multiple Sclerosis) within the Sandoz Strategic Insights & Analytics (I&A) team and supporting the Multiple Sclerosis Biosimilars team. BIS develops and executes marketing research and analytics programs and analyses providing strategic insights which support long term business goals with significant potential to impact company earnings. BIS is an analytical thought leader who delivers best-in-class actionable insights to drive better data-driven decisions to give Sandoz a competitive advantage. BIS has a deep understanding of the business, customers, and performance drivers. BIS is an analytical consultant to the business units and business insights leaders to support the decisions and investment choices. Responsibilities include developing, executing and maintaining forecast and analytical models, gathering market and patient insights using both primary & secondary information, benchmarking & opportunity evaluation. Responsible for marketing research and business analytics supporting the Multiple Sclerosis Biosimilars franchise, as well as ad hoc research as needed. Identify issues and opportunities, define and prioritize information needs, creatively apply market research techniques to drive strategic thought & effective decision-making. This opportunity is located at the Princeton (NJ) site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: • Work directly with the Business Insights Lead (BIL) and/or Franchise Lead to develop the natalizumab biosimilar strategic plans and support cross-functional stakeholders. Develop, execute & maintain forecast and analytical models, evaluate business performance, define & track KPIs, and leverage internal & external data assets to make better data-driven decisions on where-to-play and how-to-win. • Using wide array of internal and external vendor databases, turn data into meaningful insights, synthesize findings, create data-driven actionable recommendations for commercial tactics. • Work across Sandoz: partner with commercial teams and business insights leaders, departments (e.g., Launch Management, Supply Management, Finance, Managed Markets); develop counseling and working relationships across departments and with key brand members within a matrix structure. • Challenge the status quo, explore new data assets, and experiment with innovative forecasting and analytical techniques to ensure Sandoz competitive advantage with robust analytics. Challenge external vendors and internal Sandoz teams to think differently • Works closely with the Business Insights Leads to develop new tools and reporting, analogues, explore innovative data assets and drive standardization across I&A. Collaborate with colleagues from GCC – Hyderabad team to develop best practice, optimize forecast refresh process, and accelerate organizational knowledge. • Simplify complex analyses and create clear & concise stories to motivate the organization to make better data-driven decisions, developing promotional campaigns, and business cases. • Translate the business needs into actionable analytic-focused initiatives to provide solutions and/or recommendations to enable the business excellence. \#Sandoz \n\n\n\n **Position Title:** Associate Director, Business Insights Specialist (Forecasting) **Role Requirements:** What you’ll bring to this role: • Minimum 7 years in marketing research and/or analytics and forecasting or related experience involving: framing of strategic questions to be solved, generating insights (primary research or secondary analytics), synthesizing implications, driving for practical/actionable solutions, measuring impact. • Experience in Brand Marketing and/or other Business areas preferred (e.g., Managed Markets, Sales, Sales Ops). • Strong understanding of Medical Benefit / Buy and Bill market in the US. • Solid understanding of research methods, experimental primary market research design (quantitative and qualitative) and specialty pharma, hospital data sources. • Extensive experience with secondary pharmaceutical databases (e.g., IQVIA, Analysource, IPD Analytics, Evaluate Pharma). • Expertise in building MS Excel based complex forecast models and dashboards, familiarity with BI tools like Alteryx and QlikSense. • Understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, and ability to utilize dashboards to synthesize and derive insights. • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams and influence decision in a matrix organization. Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to translate a complex reports and analysis into simple ‘business speak’ and present results to internal clients up to the executive level. • Strong learning agility, i.e. ability to pick up new trends and learn quickly. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $158,400 and $237,600/per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
