_This position includes system engineer responsibilities of advanced driver assistance functions. The ideal candidate would be highly self-motivated and have the willingness to dive right in. You will work directly with the entire development team including software developers, application / calibration engineers, project managers and fellow system engineers to develop project specific solutions for driver assistance and/or automated driving technologies._
Below is a highlight of the things you would being working on:
+ Interface with customer to specify product specification and customer requirement elicitation about advance driver assistance systems.
+ Understanding of vehicle architecture, vehicle communication using AUTOSAR (CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, Flexray,..), vehicle dynamics and driver assistance Interfaces
+ Analyze customer requirement and develop solutions, system definition, system layout, system specification, etc.
+ Responsible for identifying affected System Elements and developing the System Architecture Design using MBSE methodologies
+ Define vehicle level impact based on changes at component level
+ Responsible for evaluating customer specifications and translating the system requirements into Rational DOORS, evaluate requirements and test coverage, and support issue / defect tracking
+ Interface to all internal development teams (SW, HW, Mechanical etc)
+ Ensure system development, validation, and delivery according to guidelines and processes in place
+ Responsible for developing and documenting System FMEA, Safety analysis, focus area matrix, Failure Tree analysis using appropriate tools
+ Coordinate and track activities with local and offshore system test team
+ First point of contact for OEM for all functional topics, prepare technical presentations for customer.
+ Lead and drive all customer change requests for alignment and agreements from system perspective
+ Support for the definition of test cases / test strategy, validation specifications analyze and document test data / results.
+ Able to perform vehicle level trouble shooting and diagnostics
+ Preparation customer technical documentation and entire system release.
+ Presentation of the own work results in internal teams and in customer meetings.
+ Support test drives with customer
+ Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or foreign equivalent
+ 2+ years experience with vehicle and system test and release procedures in an automotive function.
+ 2+ years’ experience in systems / requirements engineering.
+ Knowledge of driver assistance sensor technologies and functions, high interest to work on exciting new driver assistance technologies
+ Knowledge and hands on experience in system architecture and system design for SAE Level 2/3 automated driving functions (eg., Automated Park Assist, Visualization, Trailer functions, AEB etc)
+ Knowledge and hands on experience in base software topics such as networking (CAN, Flexray, Ethernet etc) and network management, AUTOSAR concepts, state machine design, diagnostics, memory management, configuration management etc,
+ Knowledge and hands on experience in Imager and ISP technologies and settings, image formats, FPDLink communication etc
+ Knowledge and hands on experience in Hardware related Software Interface (HSI) and related firmware understanding
+ Strong sense of responsibility and commitment, innovative thinking.
+ Hands on experience with Agile development methods (SCRUM, Kanban, Lean, etc.)
+ Capable to work independently in an organized and structured fashion with strong analytical skills that supports a systematic approach to problem resolution and strong communication skills to discuss issues/challenges with global development teams and external customers.
+ Good written / verbal communication and presentation skills to discuss issues / solutions with team and external customer
+ Flexible, willing to travel (4-6 weeks / year) and participate in test drives (international travel possible)
+ Good English skills verbal / written (additional languages encouraged)
+ Comfortable with test activities in vehicles
+ Capable to understand Embedded C-code and/or C++ and make small software changes
+ Valid driver license
