BayCare is currently in search of our newest **Acute Physical Therapist Assistant** who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. Since 1953, **South Florida Baptist Hospital** has been a trusted and loved hospital for all our community’s health and wellness needs. Our compassionate and caring team of experts, including nearly 800 team members and 250 physicians, work diligently to make sure that you receive high-quality care when you visit the hospital. Our new 204-bed replacement hospital that opened in the Spring of 2024 offers many more services than a standard community hospital, as we’re part of the BayCare family of health care facilities

**Acute Physical Therapist Assistant Key Responsibilities:**

+ Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.

+ Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional ADL (Activities of Daily Living) mobility interventions.

+ Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the supervising therapist.

+ Educate patients and families on exercises and techniques to support recovery.

+ Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, physicians, and occupational therapists.

+ Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.

+ Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions.

+ Adhere to infection control and hospital policies.

**Qualifications:**

+ Experience in acute care or hospital setting preferred.

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
