**Summary:**
**Provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.**
**Required Certification:** **Basic Life Support from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.**
**Minimum Qualifications:** **You may qualify for the position through one of the following ways:**
**· 6 months acute care experience as a patient caregiver**
**· 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience as a patient caregiver**
**· Successful completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an RN or LPN program**
**· Successful completion of a Baycare approved Nurse Assistant/PCT program that includes a minimum of 40 hours of hands-on patient care experience outside of a lab setting**
**Education** **: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; may also qualify with a Certificate of Completion**
