**Job Description**

**AECOM** is actively seeking an **Urban Planner** for employment in the **Orange, California** office to support the delivering of Master Planning products for military installations. This position is geared towards physical planning and not policy planning.

_This position is expected to begin in July 2024_ .

**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**

+ Supports planning studies and reports for new and updated plans, programs, and regulations.

+ Reviews or assists in the review of development proposals and site plans for conformance with codes, plans, and regulations.

+ Prepares and presents detailed reports on development proposals to government bodies.


* Collects a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics, such as census information, land use, transportation tax base data, and occupancy rates.

+ Assists in evaluating re-zonings, ordinance amendments, site plans, special use permits, variances, and other proposals.

+ Coordinates community review of public and private development projects.

+ Provides information to the public regarding development regulations.

+ Assists in resolving citizen and customer issues.

+ Under direct supervision, conducts field evaluations and assessments.


**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor's degree in planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or related experience in planning-related work or demonstrated equivalency of experience.

+ Ability to travel

+ Due to the nature of this work, US citizenship is required

+ Related intern and/or professional experience.

+ Excellent time management skills and ability to balance priorities.

+ Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.

+ Efficient and organized worker with a high level of attention to detail.

+ Ability to work independently as well as in multi-disciplinary teams.

+ Apt at developing creative and innovative graphics and project layouts.

+ Follows guidance well with little oversight.

+ Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ArcGIS, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, AutoCAD5

**Additional Information**

+ Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

+ Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $58,000.00 - $68,000.00.
